NGO Cooperation Projects

INFORSE-Europe organisations have been active in many NGO cooperation projects, where our Coordinators have been directly involved with one or more other INFORSE-Europe organisations:

  • FULFILL Project 2022 - 2024
    Project title: Fundamental Decarbonisation Through Sufficiency By Lifestyle Changes in short FULFILL
    Project partners: Fraunhofer Institute ISI (coordinator) and Wuppertal-Institut in Germany, EURAC and POLIMI in Italy, negaWATT and Jacques Delors Institute in France, Green Libert in Latvia, and INFORSE-Europe in Denmark.

  • Better Green Deal in the Baltic Sea Countries and Ukraine, 2023 - 2024
    Project title: Better Green Deal with CSO policy proposals, visions and scenarios for best mitigation policies for Baltic Sea Countries and Ukraine.
    Project partners: INFORSE-Europe (Denmark) (coordinator), Airclim (Sweden), NNV (Norway) Latvian Green Movment (Latvia), Atgaja (Lithunania) Ekokoncepcija (Lirhuania), Ecoaction (Ukraine).

  • SELNEE Belarus - Ukraine - Denmark NGO Cooperation Project, 2020 - March 2023
    Project title: Civil Society for Sustainable Energy - Local to National in Eastern Europe
    Countries: Belarus, Ukraine, Denmark
    Project Partners: Center for Environmental Solutions (CES) in Belarus, NGO Renewable Energy Agency (REA) in Ukraine, Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy (NFRE) in Denmark (INFORSE-Europe members) in cooperation with INFORSE-Europe in Denmark.

  • Information and Debate on EU in Denmark, 2021 - 2023
    Public debates and information activities organised by INFORSE-Europe and its Danish members, i.e. VedvarendeEnergi, Samsø Energy Academy. The activities are supported by Europa-Nævnet, the danish Ministry of Culture.
    The activity is a continuation of the activities in 2012-14, and 2015-17, 2018-20.
  • CLEVER Scenario Project in 2020 - 2023
    INFORSE-Europe is partner to develop the
    CLEVER (a Collaborative Low Energy Vision for the European Region) Senario, which aims to propose an ambitious and realistic decarbonisation pathway for Europe. It is coordinated by Negawatt and being developed through a bottom-up approach that starts with the national trajectories constructed by 20+ national partners from the academic world, research,or civil society.
  • Synergies Across Continents 2022 - August 2023
    INFORSE-Europe is partner to the INFORSE Global Cooperation project across East and West Africa, South Asia and Latin America.
    In the framework of the project we organise a series of webinars and develop training material on local, sustainable energy solutions that are important for a transition to sustainable energy as well as for the development and poverty reduction.

  • East African - Danish NGO Cooperation Project, 2019 - March 2023
    EASE-CA Project: "East African Civil Society for Sustainable Energy & Climate Action"
    The project is a cooperation with 4 INFORSE members in East Africa.
    The Project Coordinator: Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy (NFRE) in Denmark (INFORSE member organisation) in cooperation with INFORSE-Europe / INFORSE.
    Project Partners: INFORSE-East Africa organisations: UCSD and JEEP in Uganda, TaTEDO in Tanzania, Suswatch in Kenya, INFORSE-East Africa c/o TaTEDO, INFORSE-Europe, and NFRE in Denmark.

  • South Asian - Danish NGO Cooperation Projects on Eco-Village Development (EVD), 2015 - mid 2023
    Projects started with a project titled: "Evidence Based, Low Carbon, Pro-Poor Advocacy on Sustainable Eco-Village Development" in 2015. The projects are in cooperation with 6 INFORSE members in South Asia and CANSA.
    The Project Coordinator: DIB in Denmark (INFORSE member organisation) in cooperation with INFORSE-Europe/INFORSE.
    Project Partners: INFORSE-South Asia organisations: INSEDA, WAFD, AIWC (India), Grameen Shakti (Bangladesh), IDEA (Sri Lanka), CRT (Nepal) and INFORSE-Europe, and CAN South Asia.

  • NGO Advocacy Cooperation Projects in West Africa and East Africa, 2015-18
    In cooperation with INFORSE members in Africa.

  • Information and Debate on EU in Denmark, 2015-17
    Public debates and information activities organised by INFORSE-Europe and its Danish members, i.e. VedvarendeEnergi, Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy, NOAH (FoE Denmark), Samsø Energy Academy. The activities are supported by Europa-Nævnet, the Danish Ministry of Culture, Denmark.

  • Latvian - Lithuanian - Belarus - Danish NGO Cooperation Project, 2014-16
    Project Title: "Decarbonize our Future".
    Including a Youth Seminar in Latvia on how to organise an event in an environmentally friendly way, and publishing a guideline for small-scale events.

  • Latvian - Lithuanian - Danish NGO Cooperation Project, 2014-15
    Project Title: Development of Guidelines for Sustainable Event Management for Large- and Medium-Scale Events.
    The Project Coordinator: HomoEcos, Latvia.
    Project Partners: INFORSE-Europe, Latvian Green Movement, Sustainable Development Initiatives (DVI).
    The Project is supported by: the Nordic Council of Ministers.
  • Belarus - Danish - Swedish Cooperation Project, ECSE, 2012-14
    NGO and local authorities activities on local sustainable energy planning in 3 regions in Belarus.
    Project Title: "Engaging Citizens in Sustainable Energy to improve environment and local Economy" (ECSE)
    Project Coordinator: INFORSE-Europe.
    Project Partners: Center for Environmental Solutions (CES) in Belarus and Skåne Energy Agency (SEA) in Sweden.
    The Project is supported by: the European Union - " Development and Cooperation - EuropeAid" and cofinanced by SIDA.
  • Belarus - Swedish - Danish Cooperation Project, ADVICE, 2012-14
    Giving advice on sustainable energy in Belarus.
    Project Title: "Energy Advice for Increased Energy Awareness" (ADVICE)
    Project Coordinator:
    Skåne Energy Agency (SEA) in Sweden.
    Project Partner: Center for Environmental Solutions (CES) in Belarus and INFORSE-Europe.
    The Project is supported by: SIDA, Sweden.

  • Polish - Danish Cooperation Project, 2012-14
    The project "Social Participation in Local Energy Planning”, includes testing, implementation and promotion of consensus conferences – an innovative method of social participation. The main goal of the project is to increase social participation, using the example of local energy planning – a process in which the opinion of the local community is usually overlooked by the authorities and the community itself is often not interested in the issue.
    Project Coordinator: Institute for Sustainable Development (ISD), Poland.
    Project Partners: Polish "Field of Dialogue" Foundation and the Danish partner INFORSE-Europe.
    The Project is supported by: Partnership Fund under the Block Grant for NGOs and the Polish Swiss Regional Partnership Projects of the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme.

  • "Southern Voices on Climate Change" Capacity Building Program, 2011-12 and 2012-14
    The Program is organised by a consortium of five Danish NGOs, Climate Action Network (CAN) and IIED. It is coordinated by CARE Denmark and it is supported by DANIDA.
    The INFORSE's network activities are in Africa and in South Asia and the activities are coordinated by the Danish Consortium member, VedvarendeEnergi, and INFORSE-Europe.
