European Sustainable Energy Seminar (17-19/8) together with General
Meeting (20/8).
Venue: Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy, Ydby, Thy, Denmark.
This seminar will get together civil society organisations and other actors to
discuss:
• How we speed up the transition away from fossil fuels
and
move to sustainable
energy.
• Highlights of the European Transition, Barriers, and Key Elements of
the Transition
including:
_ > Policies for Sufficiency
as Climate Policies, > Local
Energy Communities,
_ > Nuclear Power problems and
its derailing
of the transition, > Hydrogen
Futures, > Biomass and its pollution
• Highlight a new training program Energy Literacy for Youth (ELY),
trying out
selected training modules.
• Guided Tour to see the Nordic Folkecenter for
Renewable
Energy
• Study Tour to new, sustainable energy developments in
Western
Denmark.
The
Seminar is organised by INFORSE-Europe and partners of the
project: Sufficiency as Climate Action (*) financially supported
by Nordic Council of Ministers. The Seminar also presents and tests
the
training methods of the Energy Literacy for Youth (ELY) Project
(**) financially supported by EU Erasmus+ Program.
After the Seminar, INFORSE-Europe has its General Meeting on 20 August
2026, and there is additional study tour possibility (not part of
seminar).

Logistics:
The seminar will take place at Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy,
Address: Kammersgaardsvej 16, Ydby, 7760 Hurup, Thy, Denmark. (Some
sessions will also be online.)
The Folkecenter is near to Ydby train station. There are trains to
Ydby from Copenhagen and other cities, with change of trains in Struer.
There will be pickup organised at the Ydby train station.
Nearest airports are Billund and Aalborg or Copenhagen.
Prices:
Participation including program, food and accommodation (in double
rooms): 335 ˆ per person
Participation in single rooms: 500 ˆ per person
Participation with accommodation in own tent: 175 ˆ per person
Support a participation of a person, who need support.
Limited support for INFORSE-Europe members for participation and
travel.
