The Role Play is Part of the Curriculum developed by the ELY - Energy Literacy for Youth Project (2025-27).

Target Group: 18-25 years old.

Goal: Learn about EU and national decision making on the field of energy and climate
Learn how to negotiate representing a country. How to argue and agree.

Back ground:
The role play is an updated version of an EU role play developed by INFORSE-Europe in cooperation with the Danish organisations VedvarendeEnergi, and Energitjenensten in 2012. The Danish role play was running in 2 high schools in Denmark, and became part of Danish Educational Ministry's educational resource catalogue for Danish high schools. It was inspired by the UN Climate Negotiation Role Play game and developed for EU Negotioations.The duration was a whole day. See link to the summary of the Danish role play and a video.
