Needs for the Carbon-free Energy Society Presentations, public hearing on EESC's opinion, EESC study group meeting on education and training, and the views of the Energy Commissioner. Organizer: European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) Participant INFORSE-Europe member: Terra III, Romania, represented by: Ms Lavinia Andrei Place: Van Maerlant Building Date: February 11, 2009. (all day) Link of the event at the EUSEW website Background: The EESC is an EU body established by the Treaty of Rome to assure the participation of Europe's organized civil society in the decision making of the EU. It does so by issuing opinions on EU policies and legislation. These opinions are influential factors in the EU decision making process. The purpose of the public hearing is to contribute to the work of the EESC study group that is preparing an exploratory opinion on 'Education and training needs for the carbon-free energy society' . |
