for 2001-2002 (Starting in October 2001)

NETWORK ACTIVITIES

DIERET (Distance Internet Education on Renewable Energy Technologies)
A free internet-based course developed by INFORSE-Europe and INFORSE South Asia.
The project will be continued and a CD with the study material will be available free of charge for INFORSE-Europe organisations. If possible website will be improved and the material translated to other languages.
Responsible: FAE

INFORSE-EUROPE WEBSITE
The INFORSE-Europe website will be updated regularly, and will include information on activities, members and important links.
It is conseidre to improve the website with own domain.
All members are be asked to provide inputs and links for the website, and to put it on their websites.
Responsible: OVE

ENERGY PLANNING MODELS FOR NGOs
INFORSE-Europe will provide assistance to interested members on how to make national and local sustainable energy plans. Information will be available on the website, and additional information and examples will be available from the co-ordinators. If possible the information on the website will be improved, e.g. with information about local energy planning for municipalities.

COLLECTION OF SUCCESS-STORIES AND SUSTAINABLE ENERGY DATA
INFORSE-Europe will collect information on successes with sustainable energy and development of sustainable energy in European countries. A number of new cases will be included. The information will be made available on the INFORSE-Europe website. The work is expected to be co-ordinated with Helio's Global Energy Observatory.
This activity will be a follow-up of the collection of success-stories from 1998

COOPERATION WITH OTHER INFORSE REGIONS/VISION2050 AND RIO+10
INFORSE-Europe will participate in development of World Vision 2050 for phase out of fossil fuels and nuclear energy. INFORSE-Europe will work on a number of national/local visions.
INFORSE-Europe will also follow the development of the political agenda for Rio+10.

COOPERATION WITH CAN CEE / PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
Facilitation and joint project preparation with CAN CEE (Climate Action Network for Central and Eastern Europe) of climate and sustainable energy projects for members of INFORSE-Europe and CAN-CEE.
Responsible(from INFORSE-Europe): FAE  

COOPERATION WITH OTHER NETWORKS
Continue co-operation with Climate Network Europe
It will be considered to start co-operation with the World Renewable Energy Council (for a world organisation for renewable energy) and for the European Council for an Energy Efficient Economy.  

CD-ROM PUBLICATION
Preparation of an INFORSE-EUROPE CD ROM with material produced by INFORSE- Europe such as the DIERET texts, success stories, and other issues. The CD-Rom will be available for members.

CAMPAIGN AND POLICY ACTIVITIES

FOLLOW DEVELOPMENT IN EU
INFORSE-Europe shall continue to follow the development of EU’s energy policies.  INFORSE-Europe proposes a participant in the EU Commission’s energy and transport committee.

EUROPEAN WIND CAMPAIGN
The European Wind Campaign shall be continued with presentation of the work in Russia, and with development of national small campaigns in a number of countries. The results will be presented on website and probably in Sustainable Energy News.

European ECO-FORUM / Pan-European Energy Efficiency
INFORSE-Europe shall continue to co-ordinate the European ECO-Forum Working Group on Energy & Climate, in co-operation with Climate Network Europe. Emphasis shall be on proposals for co-operation on sustainable energy.
