Visitors in Ukraine
A successful Danish - Ukrainian cooperation in between two NGOs,
which are both members of INFORSE
The activities
included:
- Reports were written on the Ukrainian opportunities for biomass, wind,
and solar energy
- “Zelena Energetika”,
magazine was published
- A sustainable energy exhibition was made and was shown in more than
12 locations around Ukraine and was seen by more than 10.000 people.
These were some of
the results of the NGO cooperation project, during the first 10 months
of 2001.
In the project, the Future Age Energy (FAE with new name: REA)
and other NGOs in the Ukrainian Working Group on Climate Change have
co-operated
with,
the
Danish Organisation
for Renewable Energy (OVE), to increase public awareness of sustainable
energy in Ukraine.
The project’s two
main participating organisations, FAE (REA) and OVE, are both members
of INFORSE-Europe.
The project was supported
by the Danish Ooutdoor Council
's Small Project Fund for Central and Eastern Europe.
The Outdoor Council
is a non-governmental organisation founded in 1942. It operates as an
umbrella organisation, today with 94 individual national member organisations.
