This part of the Schools: Energy-wise website outlines an EU-funded project to encourage schools to involve their pupils and students in the wise use of energy. Four schools were involved - one each in Greece and Ireland and two in the UK.
This whole school approach to energy is based on the assumption that technical measures can only do so much to ensure the wise management of energy.

You can find in this website a lot of teaching resources related to energy mangement. It also gives good ideas of projects that could be launched in your own school or class.
