Vision2050 for Russia

The INFORSE Vision2050 for Russia is developed 2007-2008 based on available information on renewable energy potentials, energy consumption, and assumption on future growth in energy service demand and energy efficiency. It shows how Russia could change to efficient use of renewable energy for energy supply. While the large potentials for renewable energy are without much dispute, it has with this work only been possible to show the average development for Russia with this work. There will be large regional differences: some regions in Russia have large potentials for low-cost renewable energy while others have less

In Memory of Grigory Dmitriev
This work was possible partly because of the important work of Grigory Dmitriev and others on Russian windpower potentials. He is no longer among us, but we would anyhow like to express our gratitude for his valuable contributions.
