Short description: The BTN project promoted the efficient use of bioenergy and the promotion of spatial planning processes for bioenergy. It resulted in the development of bioenergy strategies, training programs, network of bioenergy centres and more efficient fuel and heat production methods and technology.

Yesterday’s Waste is Today’s Energy

Short description: A landfill in Pääsküla has been rebuilt to reduce its environmental impact, and the biogas produced is now generating heat and power.
Period: 2004-2008
EU Contribution: 7,140,000 EUR
