The Bioenergy Technology Transfer Network (BTN)

Short description: The BTN project promoted the efficient use of bioenergy and the promotion of spatial planning processes for bioenergy. It resulted in the development of bioenergy strategies, training programs, network of bioenergy centres and more efficient fuel and heat production methods and technology.

Wind Project:

Danish Island Energizes the Environment

Short description: The Samsø Energy Academy was built on the Danish island Samsø. The aim was to assist people in renewable energy, energy savings and innovative technologies on the island aiming a 100% renewable energy supply. Presently wind energy supplies more than 100 % of the electricity demand.
Time period: aprox.2000-2006
EU contribution: 400,000 EUR
